God’s Omnipresent Love in Russia

By Finnish News Group (Originally in Finnish)

On July 8, Golden Year 3 (2006), a small but international group of initiates from the USA, Russia, Finland and Germany, gathered in St. Petersburg to distribute Alternative Living flyers in Russia.

Because of an international G8 summit meeting taking place while we were there, many police were monitoring the city. Since we could not distribute in a large group at the Metro stations, we decided to put the Alternative Living flyers into mailboxes. Luckily we had two Russian-speaking initiates in our group to help us gain entry to the big apartment buildings. The temperature was nearly 40° C (104° F) and so the city was extremely hot.

While putting the leaflets into the mailboxes, one man asked us what we were doing. After we showed him the Alternative Living flyer, he said that if there were more people like us, the world would be a lot much better place, and he thanked us a lot. We felt that Master had sent this man to encourage us and give us more strength to continue. While one initiate was distributing in the Metro station, a young girl suddenly came to help. She distributed a lot of flyers in a very short time.

We also distributed flyers and sample booklets to local vegetarian restaurants and bookstores. By the time we left St. Petersburg, we had distributed a total of 30,000 flyers in the Russian language in seven days.

Next we decided to go to Moscow. It took nine hours by train to get there. When we arrived, we met the local contact person. Besides distributing flyers to bookstores, we were able to get a half-page announcement placed in Mempo, a local Metro newspaper. This newspaper is delivered to 400,000 people in Moscow. We also got a huge discount of nearly 50% off from the advertisement manager, thanks to Master!

Our 10-day trip was completed with 32,000 flyers being distributed and our sincere wishes for the Russian people  to receive the loving message and blessings from God.
