An intriguing report published in the October 29, 2005 issue of the Russian newspaper Pravda describes a seven-year-old boy named Boriska from the town of Volzhsky who can remember and vividly recount a past life. But what makes this boy’s story distinctive is that he says his previous existence was on the planet Mars. The initial reaction of many readers to this account might be, “Oh that’s absurd!” However, if one believes in reincarnation and considers the numerous stories of other children who recall past lives on Earth, it seems logical that a child could also remember past lives on another planet. Also, several other well-documented cases exist in which children remember their previous lifetimes; specifically, the experiences of Shanti Devi, Parmod Sharma, and Taranjijt Singh. And many of us have had at least fleeting contact with reincarnation in our own families, such as my own three-year-old niece who announced one day to her puzzled mother that she used to be a boy! According to Boriska’s mother, a medical doctor, Boriska could speak in clear words and phrases during his first year of life and by the age of three was telling his parents about the universe and naming all the planets of the solar systems and their satellites. He also began advising others to raise their moral standards; for example, by telling adult men to stop cheating on their wives. This behavior did not enhance his parents’ popularity, but nonetheless Boriska seemed insistent on expressing what he felt was the truth. In describing his Martian existence, the boy recounts many details, including descriptions of the inhabitants of the planet and their flights to Earth. Boriska also highlights the Martians’ technological achievements such as sophisticated, complex spaceships that can fly “all over the universe.” Moreover, Boriska’s manner of speech is consistent with Master’s remarks about the spiritual advancement of beings from other planets, as Boriska refers in supra-earthly terms to the general human condition: “You have to be more sympathetic and warmhearted. If someone strikes you, hug your enemy, apologize and kneel before him. If someone hates you, love him with all your love and devotion and ask for forgiveness. These are the rules of love and humbleness.” The term “Indigo Child” is sometimes applied to an atypical, gifted youngster such as Boriska, and means “a boy or girl who displays a new and unusual set of psychological attributes revealing a pattern of behavior generally undocumented before.” (from The Indigo Children - The New Kids Have Arrived by L. Carroll and J. Tober) Several books and websites have been created to assist parents and teachers in recognizing such young people and encouraging them in their development. Master has also said that many children have a depth and purity that comes from being closer to their Godly origin: Up to the age of four or five, children still remember where they came from; they’re still in contact with Heaven. That’s why they are so pure and happy. It doesn’t matter what circumstances they’re in, their eyes sparkle with love and with the Heavenly bliss that we adults have lost (from “Illusion Is A Reflection of Reality” delivered in Manila, Philippines, May 3, 2000). Regardless of whether he is classified
as an Indigo Child or simply exceptional, Boriska may be one of a
growing number of beings who are coming to Earth as a result of the
rising consciousness bestowed on our planet through our Master’s
grace. In this regard, one cannot help but notice the influx of youth
who are naturally gravitating toward and adapting quickly to the rapid
gains in science and technology unfolding on our planet over the last
twenty years. Perhaps these gifted children are here to help develop
and use new inventions to produce a higher quality of life for all,
as well as maintain the necessary balance between technology and spirituality.
