Musings on Master's Poetry and Art

After going through numerous ocean waves in life, the Poet’s pen became more mature and polished. In The Old Times, Her liberal thoughts flow naturally like the river. Readers can listen to the deep dialog between the Poet and God as She speaks on behalf of the whole human race. In this collection, She submits petitions, even declaring God guilty and saying everything that ordinary humans dare not say. After being recognized as a Master for many years, the Poet did not become trapped in the fame and name, nor did she fall in the face of praise and admiration from the crowds. On the contrary, She continued to elevate. The more She went deep into the river of life, the more awakened She became. The more She listened to the illusionary dreams of humans, the less sleep She could receive.

Wu Tzu Poems traces the footsteps of the Poet when She was looking for enlightenment in earlier years. In Burma, She contemplated on the truth of life in front of the tall Buddha’s statue; in Paris, She meditated in a Zen temple oblivious to the world. She wrote about Her struggle of choosing between romantic love and spiritual path. Also described is Her miraculous bliss when She went to India, retreated in the Himalayas and experienced oneness with God.

You are here, an answer to my lifelong wish:

Your eyes reflect an ocean of love and compassion.

All around You is light, sacred, brilliant,
Guiding lost souls back to the Original Abode.

……

Why am I chosen

To receive such miraculous portent

When the cosmos is still in a drunken slumber?

How long have I cultivated my soul

To be allowed near the most Revered Enlightened!

~ from “A Great Holy Teacher,” Wu Tzu Poems

Silent Tears includes poems Master wrote when She first became a spiritual Teacher. Each word shines with holy light from the Himalayas. The poems vividly describe the inner relation between disciples and Master, which is divine and holy, far deeper than that of parents and children or between lovers. Some are even humorous, encouraging spiritual seekers not to quit their practice despite lonely winter times.

After reading all of Master’s poems, one seems to have undergone the many years’ experiences together with the Author. There are many who can talk about how life is just a stage, but few can remain standing still after being attacked by the floods of life. Maybe Master is the only one throughout the ages Who can thoroughly enjoy the taste of life while remaining un-tempted by Satan, and can transform narrow romantic love to high universal love and thus guide ordinary people to higher realms.
