A Happy Master-Mother’s Day for Everyone

By the Houston Center (Originally in English)

Master’s birthday is a special day for us, to especially remember and appreciate someone who is cherished, loved, graceful and compassionate. It is just a coincidence that it comes at about the same time as Mother’s Day, a day that recognizes mothers throughout the world for their accomplishments, their sacrifices and their love for their children. But we recognize this day as our precious Master-Mother’s Day as we appreciate very much our rebirth after initiation.

The Houston Center celebrated Master birthday and Mother’s Day with a gathering of all the initiates. We enjoyed group meditations, listened to music from Master’s collections, viewed Master’s teachings in London, and feasted on great food and desserts. It was a wonderful day that all of us in Houston enjoyed. With that said, we felt compelled and destined to share the blessings that we have with those in need. We planned a homeless drive to help those who are less fortunate and also to send a message of hope through the inner communities of Houston.

For the following weekend, we prepared 275 delicious vegetarian subway sandwiches, hot coffee, bottled water and fruit. Along with the great food and beverages, we also enclosed the Alternative Living flyer and some of Master’s publications. We arrived downtown Houston that morning, May 21, Golden Year 3 (2006), where known homeless and less fortunate are said to reside. We were setting up our booth as usual, placing Master’s portrait up, when all of a sudden, the homeless brothers and sisters recognized us and rejoiced that we had come. Most were saying, “Oh! You’re back again!” They were so happy and grateful to see us. We offered them the food that we had lovingly prepared. As they thanked us for the great day, we reminded them to thank God for this blessing.

One particular homeless brother asked one of our fellow sisters, “Who is God?” and the sister replied, “God is our Father!” With that answer, the brother was relieved and praised the answer that he needed to hear. Many were enjoying their meal and reading Master’s literature as well. They were very intrigued with the information that was given. And for those who needed more to eat, we were also able to hand out second helpings of food and beverages.

With Master’s blessings, the day was very successful. All of the brothers and sisters of Houston were so happy to participate in this event. The Houston Center loves to bring a little joy into the lives of the less fortunate, and are deeply touched with the many fold blessings they received from Master. Dear Master, please continue your on-going work. We pray for Your blessings, good health and Your guidance to assist You in anyway possible for the rest of our lives. As Your children and disciples, we will continue to share Your teachings with the world. Your children in the Houston Center wish You a very Happy Birthday and a Great Mother’s Day.
