Unexpected Benefits from
Master's Lectures

By sister initiate Zhong Yu-feng, Taoyuan, Formosa (Originally in Chinese)

When we are initiated into the Quan Yin Method and begin to practice, we commence a lifelong learning process. When we encounter any problem in daily life, Master always helps us find a solution in Her publications around us.

Here is one good example. A short while ago, my elder brother was so busy that he did not have time to water the vegetables we had planted at home. I started to think how wonderful it would be if there was a farming method that did not require irrigation. Sometime later, when viewing the 2005 Hungarian Retreat videos, I heard Master discussing different ways of farming with a brother initiate running an organic farm. The brother mentioned a special technique he used that did not require irrigation, fertilization or soil turning. This was just the right solution to my problem, even though I had reservations about whether the method would work in a place as hot as Formosa. Since there was no harm in trying, I bought some new seeds, weeded our garden, removed grass that had grown as tall as a person and placed them in the middle of a farming plot. Next, I dug two long narrow furrows alongside the wild grass heap and sowed the seeds in them.

After a week, some of the seeds sprouted. Since the vegetables grew at different speeds, they could be harvested at different times. Therefore, I did not have to worry about having to harvest too much at one time, which could result in waste if we could not eat it all. This was just too perfect! It is possible to farm without having to irrigate, apply fertilizers and turn the soil! All I needed to do was dig furrows before sowing. A little rain came afterwards then the crop was ready for harvesting after a period of time! How grateful I am that God has helped me realize my dream.

In this Golden Age, everything turns out as we wish. Through watching Master's discourses on videos, we derive unexpected benefits as well as spiritual blessings.
