[Tainan]On January 19, 2003, Tainan initiates shared a warm, happy Lunar New Year with low-income families in the urban and rural townships of Tainan, Liouying, Madou, Sinying, Yanshuei and Jiali by presenting them with cookies, fruit and red packets containing money. Despite their difficult circumstances, these less fortunate brothers and sisters showed an admirably strong spirit, and in conveying Master's love and concern for them, initiates learned to cherish and appreciate their own immense blessings.

Local initiates recently held a soul-elevating seminar for inmates at the Tainan Prison and the Mingte Outdoor Prison. Dr. Mei, a fellow practitioner, shared his personal experience of curing cancer to help the inmates cultivate correct dietary concepts.

On January 21, the Tainan City government conferred awards and certificates of recognition on the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association and other public-interest groups. The Association won the gratitude of the city government for its long-term participation in the environmental protection work of local beach cleaning. Tainan Mayor Hsu Tain-tsair (left) presented the awards.......Next
