This
January, wave after wave of cold fronts passed through Formosa, to be
replaced by warm and radiant sunlight during the Supreme Master Ching
Hai Body, Mind and Soul Art Creation Exhibition at the Taipei Municipal
Social Education Hall. The birds in the trees greeted the rare sunshine,
flapping their wings and soaring high as harbingers of this uplifting
          spiritual event.
Immediately after the New Year arrived,
the Taipei Center was blessed with the opportunity to rent a venue in
the Hall for the Exhibition. From January 11 to January 16, 2003, the
event attracted large crowds of visitors as it was held in the city's
bustling business district, which is easily accessible by public buses
and other means of transport. The Exhibition was open eleven hours a
day, and this was good news for art connoisseurs. The event was promoted
through special news coverage by the popular magazine Artist.
The Social Education Hall also published 30,000 copies of a bulletin
on the Exhibition for free distribution. In addition, weekly magazines
popular among college and university students announced the good news.
The Exhibition commenced on the afternoon
of Saturday, January 11, with a tea party and a concert entitled "The
Sound Palette." Celebrities from many fields graced the occasion,
including calligrapher Li Feng, who demonstrated his talent by writing
the title of Master's poem "The Peace Seeker" at the venue.
(Photo 1) Then, Mr. Liu Xiao Lan, secretary of Taipei's World East-West
Cultural Center, wrote the following couplet inspired by Master's paintings
to express his admiration for Her.
