Promoting Peace and Harmony at a Religious Expo

An endless stream of guests visit the initiates' booth on the opening day of the Formosa Religious Exposition.

[Chiayi] From December 21 to 25, the 2002 Formosa Religious Exposition was held at the Dounan Stadium in central Formosa's Yunlin County. The Exposition was open to all religions and was aimed at edifying the public and promoting peace and social harmony. The Chiayi Center took this opportunity to share Master's teachings and the joy of practicing the Quan Yin Method with local residents.

Exhibitors from various religious sects and spiritual groups including Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism and others, set up booths, each of which displayed unique features, overwhelming visitors with their great diversity. Fellow practitioners decorated their booth beautifully and elegantly so that it radiated youthful vigor and God's love, and attracted many Truth-aspirants.

Many visitors and fellow practitioners attend a Truth-sharing seminar conducted by a Quan Yin messenger.

Formosa's Minister of the Interior Yu Cheng-hsien inaugurated the event and visited the exhibition booths in the company of Yunlin County Magistrate Chang Jung-wei and other important local leaders, as an endless stream of visitors poured through the Exposition on its opening day. The distinguished guests unanimously noted that this rare spiritual event, where all religions and sects accommodated and learned from each other while praying together for God's blessing, would bring greater cooperation and harmony to the country. Master's art works on display at the Exposition were warmly welcomed by the visitors. A number of Buddhist monks came to read Master's books and a famous Zen master, after appreciating Master's works, told his disciples, "Master Ching Hai is amazing!" showing that the Formosan public has gradually gone beyond traditional concepts about spiritual practice, and is beginning to explore the realm of Truth, goodness and beauty.

On the afternoon of the 24th, a Truth-sharing seminar hosted by a Quan Yin messenger at the Expo attracted a large audience. The fellow initiates present felt the great power of God's blessing, and with his wisdom eye, one initiate saw that the venue was being guarded by several guardian angels, and radiated brilliant light.

Spiritual beauty emanates from Master's artistic creations on display at the Exposition.

During the Expo, many religious groups complimented our group and gave us positive feedback after coming into closer touch with Master's teachings and artistic work. Moreover, the fellow practitioners were encouraged to learn that the number of people requesting initiation into the Quan Yin and Convenient Methods was far greater than on previous occasions. They thus affirmed the value of participating in the Expo and hoped that all religions can come to understand each other in this peaceful way, and promote more prosperity and security for our country and the world.
