The Growth of a New Center

The group meditation following transmission of the Convenient Method.

[Ouagadougou] The capital of the West African nation of Burkina Faso, Ouagadougou, is a busy and rapidly developing city that borders the Sahara Desert so the local climatic variations can be extreme. For example, it is common for the temperature to rise above 40 degrees Celsius in the summer.

The information center in Ouagadougou was set up in April 2002, with the help of a work team from the neighboring country of Togo. The team members aired two-minute daily radio announcements introducing Master and Her teachings, and so far, the Center has had more than 400 visitors, and more and more people in the area have begun to practice the Convenient Method and have received initiation into the Quan Yin Method. These fellow practitioners are well taken care of. Apart from having a place to read and meditate, they also have access to a good vegetarian cooking class. With their increasing faith in Master, confidence in themselves, and understanding of the value of a vegetarian diet, most of the local Convenient Method practitioners are asking for initiation.

On Friday, October 18, 2002, with voluntary assistance from the Convenient Method practitioners, the work team held a video seminar in the Center's backyard. More than 70 Truth-seekers attended, and their sincerest longings were revealed in their genuine questions. Under the moonlight, the participants had a very pleasant night experiencing Master's profound teachings along with delicious homemade refreshments.
