Perhaps due to some undesirable karmic affinity from the past, I had to go through a difficult period in which someone continually practiced black magic on me. My only defense against this negative influence was the Master Power -- praying to Master and reciting the Holy Names. I have now come to realize that this experience was a blessing in disguise. By being confronted with so much of "the opposite of positive," I learned through my own trials how the positive power works, and how it will always overcome the negative, if only we have faith.

I remember once I was riding on a train, and I felt the presence of a dense unpleasant energy surrounding me like a black fog. I spontaneously started reciting the Holy Names, but after a while, some of the energy lingered on. I finally began to pray to Master, and within seconds could see beams of brilliant light dispelling the dark fog, and filling the whole train compartment with a bright and loving energy.

This made me realize that even if we do nothing else but recite the Holy Names and think of Master all day, we will already bring a lot of light wherever we go, though it may be invisible to the naked eye. By sincerely focusing our minds on Master, we truly are the torch bearers of God!
