Poem

By sister initiate Phenix, Austria
(Originally in English)

The world throws things at me
That I do not understand.
Even though I do my best,
I sometimes reap injustice,
pain and misunderstanding.
I am left alone in misery
Until I cry out to God:
"What did I do to deserve this?"

Oh, sweet Music of the Spheres,
Without your soothing melodies
My spiritual scars would never heal!

Oh, sweet Master of the Universe,
Without Your all-embracing Love,
My soul would be forever lost!
If there was anything I ever wanted
In this lifetime, in many lifetimes,
Of mighty schemes and broken dreams,
Of ignorance and longing,
It was, my sweet Angel of Mercy,
To follow You
Home.
