Filled with Joy

Fellow initiates from the guards group of the Taipei Center hold a monthly seminar to share and discuss Master's teachings. In December, in the artistic atmosphere of the seminar, we discussed Master's creative works, exchanging our reflections and feelings.

One of the sister initiates in the group especially liked a reproduction of a painting called "Filled with Joy," and could not help gazing at it from time to time. To her, the dark and dirty mud in the work represents the world, and as our spiritual levels rise, many joyous spiritual flowers bloom, as expressed in the painting's imagery. She felt that Master's paintings are wonderful, as they lead us on an exploration of our inner selves and give us answers to our inner questions.

Another sister said that Master's paintings contain profound philosophy expressed with beautiful simplicity and purity. Each of Her works is filled with vital energy, and expertise and education are not prerequisites for appreciating the paintings; anyone with a pure heart can understand them easily.

Another sister felt that the most impressive painting reproduction was "The Night View of Yang Ming Mountain," for she had seen the whole painting being produced in a videotape entitled "Master at Yang Ming Mountain." (Videotape No. 264) The light was so strong in the painting that she thought it was daybreak at first! Another sister added that she too liked this painting because she thought it symbolized a dark city illuminated by the brilliant light of many spiritual practitioners.

As for the Celestial Jewelry, one sister noted that the jewels can reflect the physical and mental condition of the wearer. For example, when she was very tired, the ring on her finger looked dim, but it recovered its splendor after she participated in group meditation.

The year has come to an end, and fellow initiates from the guards group of the Taipei Center feel very fortunate to share with their fellow brothers and sisters the bliss of spiritual practice, and to be able to encourage each other in the course of spiritual growth. Since we are headed toward the same destination, we believe that in the coming year, we are bound to concentrate our spiritual energy to realize our aspirations and ideals, and thus serve the public better.
