Spiritual Interludes

God's Grace Brings Affinity

During the New Year holiday, I went a on tour to Mainland China with some fellow initiates. One day, our tour guide took us to a winery. At first I was hesitant, thinking that we neither drank nor intended to purchase any wine, so what was the point of visiting a winery? Then, Master reminded us through one of the brothers on the tour that this could be an opportunity to get rid of some old perceptions. That seemed reasonable!

Immediately, I changed my mind and thought, "If God wants us to visit the winery, He must have something in store for us." Happily, I got off the tour bus and went on the tour of the winery. In appreciation for the cordial explanations by the receptionists, we gave them Master's pamphlets in return. They happily accepted the pamphlets, along with the loving blessings of Master.

As we stepped out of the winery and got into the tour bus, it occurred to me that I probably would never go there again. We had traveled thousands of miles from Formosa to this place, bringing with us Master's happy tidings and blessed photos, all because a few souls there were longing for eternal liberation. Had we stuck to our old perceptions and refused to visit the winery, we would have missed this great opportunity to convey Master's blessings. Our inflexibility would have hindered our acceptance of God's will and denied many longing souls the chance to know Master.

Gratitude Inspired by a Hsihu Lake Voyage

We reached Hangzhou and were taking a cruise on the famous Hsihu Lake in a big boat, enjoying the serenely beautiful scenery. I looked at the different vessels on the lake- small steamboats and small canoes, some empty and others with boatmen laboring hard to transport handfuls of passengers.

Suddenly, it dawned on me that our large cruise ship seemed to be the blessed vessel among these craft , with Master at the helm guiding our passage with love and mercy. Lucky are we who have been blessed to be on board, taking the safe and fast boat straight to the other shore without hardship!

Touched by the tremendous holy love of Master, I could not stop my tears. I thought of the countless sentient beings on earth, wasting time and energy, struggling against the current to reach the other shore like those small vessels. How very blessed we fellow initiates are!
