Echoes of Master's Tokyo Lecture in
the Spiritual Magazine KARNA

Seven page report on Master with color photos -- the lead article in a recent issue of the Japanese spiritual magazine KARNA.

[Tokyo] Nearly a month and a half after Master's May 7th lecture in Tokyo during Her "Ocean of Love" tour, a special report entitled "Supreme Master Ching Hai - Her First Visit to Japan in Years." was published as the lead article in the commemorative issue of the local magazine KARNA, marking the 15th anniversary of its founding. This seven page report presents a transcript of the lecture along with a biography and six color photographs of our beautiful and graceful Master.

Master's Tokyo lecture emphasizes that everyone has the God Nature within, and any time we choose to know to make use of this greatness, we can always do so, if we know how. The report also includes a question and answer session transcribed from the lecture.

The magazine KARNA is well known to Japan's spiritual community, and does not reflect the beliefs of any particular religion or religious group. Its motto asserts, "Awaken to the Chi (life energy) and the God Nature". We came to know of KARNA through a fellow initiate, and last year had an advertisement for a video seminar featuring Master's lectures published in the magazine. This year, when asking about whether the "Ocean of Love" lecture could be advertised in KARNA, we were told that the deadline for application had passed. But we were very lucky, in that we were ultimately able to have a one page color advisement published in the magazine, because the printing date happened to be delayed.

A short time after the May 7 lecture, a person in charge of KARNA contacted us and expressed the magazine's eagerness to print an article on the lecture with photographs. It is obvious that Master's lecture profoundly touched the hearts of the Japanese people. As a famous magazine in the spiritual world of Japan, the popular KARNA can always be found in major bookstores in cities such as Tokyo. Thus, numerous people were able to read the article about Master's lecture, and many made telephone inquiries to the Tokyo Center afterwards.
